Pulse electrochemical machining of gas turbine finger seals

AbstractTypical design of finger seals and conventional technologies of their machining are consid-ered. A new technology of pulse electrochemical dimensional machining of curved narrow slots is suggested, as a technology of making of regular microrelief on contact surfaces of fingers’ pads. Description of machining attachments and processing conditions are given. Also the article contains photos of finger seal rings, produced with proposed technology.
