Abstract
The article presents an experimental study of the quality of the homing process of a guided object at a mobile object–target performing a maneuver with a given normal overload when aiming at a target using the proportional navigation method on a developed simulation model of a radio control loop (homing). The proportional navigation method is used to guide of a guided objects towards fast-moving and maneuvering targets. Currently, the widespread development of computing and computer technology makes it possible to perform mathematical modeling of various processes in real time. One of the most powerful and effective tools for modeling various systems and processes is the simulation environment MATLAB – Simulink, in which a control loop model has been developed. For modeling, the mathematical apparatus of differential equations and the equivalent apparatus of functional links were used. The article presents the trajectories of the carrier, guided object and target obtained as a result of simulation modeling for various values of target overload, target angle and guided object launch angle. Experimental data show that the proportional navigation method demonstrates high resistance to target maneuvers, providing stable guided object guidance to a target with a small curvature of its trajectory. In addition, the use of information about the additionally measured transversal acceleration of the target also makes it possible to reduce the curvature of the guided object trajectory and fly with low overload throughout the entire homing process until meeting the target. Thus, the work shows that the proportional navigation method is the most optimal when targeting fast-moving and maneuvering targets.
