Abstract
The article presents an improved approach to the parametric synthesis of automatic control systems for long power lines using a modified generalized Galerkin method. The developed technique, which was previously successfully used to control vehicle braking systems, has been adapted to solve complex problems in the airport power industry, including powering lighting equipment, landing systems, radar stations, refueling complexes and terminals, which confirms the versatility and high efficiency of the proposed approach. Special attention is paid to solving key problems of managing power transmission lines with distributed parameters, including: the transition from partial differential equations, which are inherent in systems with distributed parameters, to ordinary differential equations, which is necessary for the possibility of using Galerkin's parametric synthesis method; consideration of wave processes in the design of regulators; optimization of the parameters of the PID controller for various operating modes.
The proposed modification of the Galerkin method makes it possible to significantly improve the dynamic characteristics of the system: reduce the time of transients by 15-20%, increase resistance to disturbances and changes in network parameters, such as take-off, landing, and switching on powerful consumers.
The key importance of the work is due to the application of a comprehensive methodology, including: theoretical justification of the chosen method, computational modeling (numerical implementation) and the formation of engineering and technical recommendations for implementation. The results obtained form new approaches to the digital transformation of electric power systems and provide increased fault tolerance and controllability of airport power transmission lines.
The application of a unified methodological approach for such diverse objects (from braking systems to airport power lines) proves the versatility and effectiveness of the modified Galerkin method in problems of parametric synthesis of complex dynamic systems.
The results can be used to digitalize airport power systems and improve the reliability of power supply to critical facilities.
